FUE Hair Transplantation

About FUE

FUE Hair Transplant

Have you noticed patches of thinning hair? Are you concerned about hair loss? Hair loss affects more than 100 million Americans every year. Nearly 85% of men experience thinning hair by the age of 50 and more than 50% of women also report noticeable hair loss after the age of 45.

Fortunately, there are several hair transplant treatment options available to those who wish to regrow lost hair. At American Mane Hair Restoration Center, we are proud to offer FUE hair transplant options for men and women seeking a solution to hair loss that is minimally invasive and produces natural-looking results.

What is FUE?

Follicular unit extraction, FUE, is a hair transplant treatment that helps to treat men and women who struggle with hair loss or thinning hair. This method harvests grafts more efficiently, safely, and quickly compared to traditional methods.

How Does it Work?

The FUE method involves extracting small groups of hairs to then be transplanted into areas of baldness or hair thinning.

01

Prior to treatment, your head is shaved, and a local anesthetic is applied for patient comfort. At the start of the procedure, using state-of-the-art technology, individual hairs are safely extracted and then stored in environmentally sound containers that are temperature controlled in a solution. This process increases the chance of graft survival for implantation and improves their ability to regrow successfully.

Once extraction is completed, microchannels are created in the scalp to assist in hair implantation. The micro-grafts are then implanted along the desired hairline and targeted treatment area for a natural, full appearance. These follicles are placed at a precise angle to mimic the natural flow of your hair.

Does It Hurt?

Before your procedure, a local anesthetic is applied for patient comfort. However, a minimal amount of discomfort can be expected following the procedure but should subside within a few days.

Ideal candidates for this procedure should have healthy hair growth on the sides and back of the head as FUE uses your own hair for the grafts.

If you struggle with hair loss, thinning hair, adult-pattern baldness, or alopecia, these treatment options may be right for you. For more information or to schedule a consultation, please contact our office at (786) 373- 8811.

Is FUE Hair Transplant the Right Treatment for You?

You may be wondering if FUE really is the right form of hair transplant for you. You may also be wondering if you are a suitable candidate. Whether you are a good candidate, the main identifier is having healthy hair grow your head’s sides and back of head. The hair grafts required for this procedure come from there. Other aspects that determine whether you are a good candidate include its color, texture, and whether it is naturally curly or wavy.
