PATIENT 8

6760 Grafts

In this success story, we highlight a patient from Florida who came to American Mane looking to restore his hairline and improve overall density after experiencing significant hair loss in the frontal area.

This case was completed in two separate FUE procedures, one year apart. Because the patient had advanced thinning with complete baldness in the front, our team created a long-term treatment plan focused first on recreating the hairline and then on improving density during the second procedure.

Method Used: For both procedures, we used the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method. This technique allowed our team to carefully extract and implant each graft with precision, helping create natural direction, balanced density, and a hairline that matched the patient’s facial structure.

Treatment Plan: During the first operation, we implanted 3420 grafts, focusing mainly on rebuilding the front and recreating a natural-looking hairline. This first step was essential to restore the frame of the face and begin covering the areas with the most visible hair loss.

One year later, the patient returned for a second operation with 3340 grafts. This procedure focused on adding more density to the front while also placing a smaller number of grafts in the crown to improve overall coverage.

Progress Timeframe: The patient’s full transformation was documented over a total of 22 months, allowing time for the first procedure to grow in before completing the second stage of the restoration. The main challenge in this case was recreating the hairline from an area of complete baldness and filling the hair from the front toward the middle of the scalp. Since the patient needed both coverage and density, the treatment had to be planned carefully across two stages to achieve a natural and balanced result.

Over the 22-month timeline, the patient experienced a major improvement in hairline definition, frontal density, and overall coverage. The final result showed a recreated hairline, a fuller appearance through the front and mid-scalp, and a more natural transition toward the crown.

This case is a great example of how a staged hair transplant plan can help patients with advanced hair loss achieve natural-looking results through careful planning, proper graft distribution, and patience throughout the growth process.
