The Truth About Female Hair Transplant In Florida

Hair loss, hair thinning, and female pattern baldness may not be widely discussed topics but they are still common conditions experienced by women worldwide. But, what exactly causes female hair loss or thinning? The most common reasons women experience hair loss or thinning include iron deficiency, excessive stress, menopause, pregnancy, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune disease, and underlying conditions such as Androgenetic Alopecia.

Hair Transplants for Women

There are different options available when it comes to female hair transplants, including the following:
  • FUE Hair Transplants
  • DHI Hair Transplants
  • Sapphire FUE Hair Transplants
If you are unfamiliar with the above terms and what they entail, don’t worry, as that’s what we are going to explain below.

FUE Hair Transplant

FUE hair transplantation is one of the most common treatment options for women’s hair transplant. This method harvests grafts more efficiently, safely, and quickly than other methods.

Using state-of-the-art technology, follicles are automatically separated, harvested, and then stored in environmentally sound containers that are temperature controlled in a solution. This process increases the chance of graft survival for implantation and improves their ability to regrow successfully. Once extraction is completed, microchannels are created in the scalp to assist in hair implantation. The micro-grafts are then implanted along the designed hairline and targeted treatment area for a natural, full appearance.

Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant

Deprived of the FUE method, the Sapphire FUE hair transplantation process is the same as FUE except for how the microchannels are made. In the traditional FUE method, microchannels are made from a steel blade, whereas in Sapphire FUE the channels are made from special sapphire blades. These blades are designed to minimize scab formation, speed up the recovery process, and allow for dense packing,, making thicker, fuller results more achievable in a single session.

Direct Hair Implantation

Direct hair implantation, or DHI, is a new innovative treatment option that is considered a modified version of FUE treatment and provides natural results with no visible scarring.

The main difference between FUE and DHI treatment is in the implantation method. During the procedure, the hair follicles are extracted similarly to the FUE treatment, but instead of being placed in a solution until ready, the hair follicles are directly implanted into the recipient area. Using a pen-shaped tool known as an implanter or Choi pen, the hair follicles can be directly implanted after harvesting without manually making microchannels.
